ABC iview have a series of short documentaries called ‘What It’s Like’ that explore different topics including having a sibling with a disability and also what it’s like to experience a disability. Fantastic viewing for the familiy!
Today was our local ‘Step Up for Down Syndrome’ walk to raise awareness of Down syndrome and valuable funds for Down Syndrome Victoria. It was great to see so many people there, several who have contributed to ‘Now I See’, many who have supported our fundraising efforts and even some new families who received ‘Now I See’ when their baby was born with Down syndrome
October is World Down Syndrome Awareness Month. To mark this and to raise awareness of life with a child with Down syndrome, T21 Mum Australia Network have made this gorgeous video.
It is pretty exciting having the Down Syndrome Swimming Australia Championships being held in our local town! There are 60 swimmers competing from around Australia and the world!
